Lodging

The guesthouse is a rustic timber framed barn style home situated on the shore of a large lake, so the views are fantastic. We are located approximately twenty minutes from Kyle Field, so it makes for an ideal gameday rental for the family. Our Guesthouse has three bedrooms, full bath upstairs and half bath downstairs. There is a full kitchen, living area, dining area, washer/dryer and large back deck overlooking the lake.

Hunting

The ranch is completely high fenced and has been managed for TEXAS trophy whitetails. Our breeding program only utilizes TEXAS genetics, and we select for the South Texas typical look you want. We also offer trophy Axis deer and native wild hog hunts. Our 3-bedroom guesthouse can be combined with our hunting packages to include your family and friends on your adventure.

Shooting Sports

Ol’ Army Ranch is the perfect location if you love clay shooting like we do!  We have a 10-station Sporting Clay course and Five Stand Range with a variety of machines and presentations.  If you are looking to host a charity or corporate shoot you can combine our 1,750 sq ft pavilion with the courses to host the perfect event!

Fishing

Ol’ Army Ranch has two lakes fully stocked with trophy large mouth, bass, crappie, and perch. If you enjoy fishing you will love casting your line off the guest house back deck. Afterward, when you’re done fishing, enjoy grilling your freshly caught fish as you enjoy the sunset.

Event Hosting

The Pavilion is 1,750 square feet and overlooks one of the ranch’s 2 lakes which makes a perfect setting for any event.  The large fan will keep you and your guest cool during the warmer months and the huge fire pit is awesome for the cooler months.  This structure is the perfect venue for live music, parties, or any other event you’re hosting.
